Even if there’s no snow in the forecast, Ober creates their own snow so you can enjoy tubing any time during the season. When you get to the tubing hill, you’ll grab a tube and catch a ride on the Magic Carpet to the top. Once at the top, you choose your lane, and fly down the hill at top speeds for heart-pounding fun!
The snow tubing hill is located next to the snow play area and the end of the ski and snowboarding runs at the resort. You can start snow tubing at Ober Mountain in mid November, and the season runs through March. There are 8 tubing lanes for tons of fun, so you won’t have to wait too long in line to ride again! Guests who are 3 years old and up are permitted to ride on the tubing hill.
2. Pigeon Forge Snow
If you’re searching for another place to go snow tubing in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, then Pigeon Forge Snow is a great option! This is the only indoor snow tubing attraction in the area, so you can enjoy racing down the hills any time of the year! Even when it’s winter outside, the interior of the building stays around 70 degrees, making it comfortable for everyone! Yes, there is real snow on the tubing lanes. It doesn’t melt because of special technology built under the lanes. Just grab a tube, climb up the hill, and fly down the lane for a ton of fun!
At Pigeon Forge Snow, you don’t need reservations to enjoy snow tubing. Kids who are 3 and up can enjoy tubing at this attraction, and any younger guests will have fun in the snow play area!
3. Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark
The other place you can go snow tubing in Pigeon Forge is Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark ! They have an outdoor tubing hill that has 11 tubing lanes, so there’s plenty of fun to be had. You’ll ride a conveyor belt to the top of the hill as you hang on to your tube, and once you’re at the top, you’ll look down at the 500-foot-long lanes. As you climb into the tube, your heart will race until you kick off down the hill, where you’ll fly so fast you won’t believe you just did it!
The snow season at Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark typically lasts from October to March. They have the longest tubing session in town at 90 minutes, and you do need reservations in order to tube at their park. This is one of the best places for snow tubing in Pigeon Forge. If you visit during the warmer months, you can still enjoy outdoor tubing!
