What to ExpectThe Titanic Museum

The Titanic Museum’s fireworks are meant to honor the more than 2,000 passengers and crew who sailed on the RMS Titanic. John Joslyn, the co-owner of the Titanic Museum, explains that the fireworks are a way to “usher in a Christmas season of hope and promise for us all”.

It’s hard not to feel the holiday spirit when watching this incredible pyrotechnic display. As the largest fireworks show on the Parkway, this impressive event always attracts lots of visitors and locals alike. Guests can expect to see the Smoky Mountain sky light up with a festive mix of colors and designs.

Holiday Season at The Titanic

The amazing fireworks will be accompanied by another Titanic Musuem tradition: falling snow. A snow making machine hidden in the ships’ bow will produce a gentle shower of fresh powder. Be on the look out for Santa Claus, because Old Saint Nick is know to drop by for the Titanic’s celebration!

Holiday Season at The Titanic

Holiday fun at the Titanic Museum isn’t just confined to Thanksgiving night. Throughout November and December, the museum will be decorated for the season. From port to starboard, the ship will be covered in authentic 1912 Christmas decorations. The Grand Staircase will be a focal point for the holiday cheer, as it will be lined with dazzling lights and flanked by Christmas trees.

According to Titanic Museum co-owner John Joslyn, “Especially during the holidays, we remember and honor the men, women, and particularly children who sailed on the Titanic. At this special time, our guests truly experience what it was like onboard the ship in 1912, and how it might have looked on a Christmas voyage 102 years ago”.
