Man making pottery in the Smoky Mountains
June 30, 2014

At the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg is known for spectacular views, charming history and mountain heritage. One part of that heritage is the 8-mile arts and crafts community, which hosts the largest group of independent artisans in the country. This summer, a craft show will honor those artisans and allow visitors to take an inside look at how they create their masterpieces.

The Gatlinburg crafts fair is one amazing opportunity for visitors to view and purchase some of the most unique artwork in the region, including paintings, jewelry, stained glass, woodworking, pottery and leather.

Not only can you enjoy browsing the art, you and your family can also see live demonstrations because many of the artisans work on site for people to see and understand just how they work.

There will also be live entertainment and children’s activities during the entire event.
